Alden Investment Group Welcomes Gregory A. Obin as Financial Advisor in Doylestown Office
Doylestown, PA — Alden Investment Group is pleased to announce that Gregory A. Obin has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor in its Doylestown, Pennsylvania office. Obin joined Alden in November and brings a uniquely multidisciplinary background, shaped by service in the United States Air Force, government contracting, enterprise consulting, and strategic financial planning.
Obin’s career foundation was forged in the U.S. Air Force, where he served from 2016 to 2022 as an Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer, deploying to Iraq in support of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve. His assignments spanned secure communications engineering, leadership of multidisciplinary teams, and support of mission-critical national defense operations. His service earned multiple commendations, including recognition as Airman of the Year.
Following his military career, Obin transitioned into the private sector, applying his systems-based problem-solving approach to municipal government, enterprise sales, and organizational strategy before entering financial services. Most recently, he served as a Registered Representative advising families, entrepreneurs, and business owners on wealth preservation and multigenerational planning.
Obin shared that his decision to join Alden was driven by the firm’s culture, depth of expertise, and modern advisory platform. “I wanted to surround myself with people who push me to be better,” he said. “Alden offers an environment where collaboration, continuous learning, and doing what’s right for the client, not product quotas, come first.”
He added that Alden’s approach aligns with his philosophy of comprehensive, life-centered planning. “My work with clients goes far beyond investments. It often involves solving complex family, business, and organizational challenges. I aim to bring multifamily-office-level thinking to individuals and families who haven’t traditionally had access to that type of advisory support.”
Obin plans to continue advanced financial education, including additional strategic planning and chief-of-staff-style advisory certifications, while expanding his work in wealth architecture, behavioral finance, and long-term planning solutions.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Greg to the Alden team,” said Chris Coloracci, Chief of Advisor Engagement at Alden. “His combination of discipline, technical expertise, and commitment to client-centered planning makes him an exceptional addition to our growing Doylestown presence.”
