Georgia Walters brings over a decade of experience as a former employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Governor’s Office of the Budget, Bureau of Audits.
As in-house general counsel for Alden Investment Group, Georgia focuses on compliance, auditing, financial management responsibilities and overseeing legal aspects for the company.
In her former position with the Commonwealth, she collaborated with federal and state funded programs throughout various state departments. She performed audits of for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Georgia’s audit findings resulted in millions of dollars of recovered federal and state funds. In the last five years, the Governor’s Office of the Budget implemented a risk-based approach to auditing. Georgia performed evaluations and reviews based on risk analysis.
Georgia attended the Pennsylvania State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1979 with a B.B.A. in accounting, and the Dickinson School of Law, receiving a J.D.in 1983. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1983.
