Thomas F. Wiese

Tom is a registered representative at Alden Investment Group and the President and CEO of TFW Global Advisors LLC, focused on delivering institutional solutions tailored to Family Offices, High Net Worth (HNW) Clients, and Institutional Investors.

Tom leverages his extensive expertise in institutional private placement life insurance (PPLI) and private placement variable annuities (PPVA) to offer tax-efficient solutions to sophisticated clients.

Tom has over 30 years of extensive experience in the insurance, asset management and financial services industries.  Prior to joining Alden, Tom was the President of Institutional Solutions for Crown Global Insurance Group LLC, responsible for expanding the domestic and international markets for institutional products.  Before joining Crown in 2021, Tom was the Executive Managing Director and Head of the Institutional Business at Lombard International, where he grew the Institutional Group Variable Annuity business to over $7.2 billion in AUM with a 50% CAGR from 2016 to 2021.  Before that, he was a managing director and client executive at BNY Mellon, responsible for the overall client management and strategic business development of several of the bank’s largest global insurance company clients.  His other previous experience includes positions as the EVP for Business Development in Hartford Life’s Institutional Solutions Group, where he originated over $3 billion in Corporate Owned Life Insurance, COO for Marsh’s Benefits Business, CAO for Nationwide’s Asset Management subsidiary Gartmore Global Investments and VP of Operations and Systems at Prudential Investments. Tom started his career in financial services by working as an originator for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, followed by several business development and management roles at the Bankers Trust Company.

Tom holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a Series 7 and 63 Registered Representative, a Series 24 Registered Principal, and is Life Insurance Licensed.
