Peter is the founder of J. Alden Associates, the parent company for Alden Securities and Alden Capital Management. He has spent his entire business life in the securities business.
After receiving his MBA from Columbia University in 1964, he went to work for Kuhn Loeb in New York City as a Security Analyst. After 2 years as an Analyst, he left to join Stroud and Company, a brokerage and investment banking firm in Philadelphia. Through various mergers and two moves, Peter joined Prudential Securities in 1984 where he became the only paid Branch Sales Manager at Prudential. In 1995 he started his own brokerage firm, J. Alden Associates.
